What is Yoga?

om-clayYoga is an ancient art and science that has been practiced for centuries and passed from generation to generation, aiming to improve to overall health and wellbeing.

The word Yoga comes from Sanskrit and is translated to mean union. Yoga unites the body, mind and soul, bringing them into harmony enabling the practitioner to move forward in life from a centered and balanced perspective.

A yoga practice consists of breathing techniques (pranayama), physical postures (asana), relaxation and meditation practices which aim to bring the mind and body into stillness so that you can experience your true nature.

Yoga is the art and science of living

Yoga means union
in all its significances and dimensions.
